I've been receiving a lot of calls, emails and facebook messages asking about McAbee's Takin' Cancer for a Ride event for 2012. I'm sorry to say that there will be no ride this year. The Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Office and the City of Tuscaloosa Police Department have announced that they will no longer be offering their services for escorting events such as motorcycle benefit rides. We feel that for the safety of our riders, it is best that we cancel. Our ride has grown so much through the years and along with that, so did the funds we raised. We had around 200 bikes last year and collected over $20,000 for the Fund.
We are open to suggestions on other ways to raise funds for the DCH Help and Hope Fund. Feel free to send your suggestions and/or comments to ssexton@mcabeeconstruction.com
